Become explorers and discover the imposing Roman architecture all along the Moselle with your whole family. Travel back in time to the Roman period with plenty of fun and entertainment. Take the opportunity to experience Trier on your journey, Germany’s oldest town with many magnificent monuments from the Roman age. The Belginum Archeology Park is just as interesting, while the Game and Leisure Park in Klotten provides fun and action for all the family.

Walking the „Mosel.Erlebnis.Route“ adventure trail without baggage - Tour 1: from Trier to Traben-Trarbach

The “Mosel.Erlebnis.Route” or Moselle experience trail connects over 50 themed and culture trails, turning local specifics into an extraordinary adventure for you in a very unique manner. Explore the wine-growing villages and towns and experience the typical atmosphere of the Moselle region at wine tastings and meals. The route leads you from one location to the next via partly asphalted tracks near the river. The trail leads you from Trier, Germany’s oldest town, to the art nouveau splendour of Traben-Trarbach in five stages. On your way you can delight in the tranquillity of nature and enjoy spectacular views of the unique Moselle landscape.

Walking the „Mosel.Erlebnis.Route“ adventure trail without baggage - Tour 2: From Zell (Moselle) to Kobern-Gondorf

The “Mosel.Erlebnis.Route” or Moselle experience trail connects over 50 themed and culture trails, turning local specifics into an extraordinary adventure for you in a very unique manner. Explore the wine-growing villages and towns and experience the typical atmosphere of the Moselle region at wine tastings and meals. The route leads you from one location to the next via partly asphalted tracks near the river. Walk from Zell (Moselle) to the „Sunny Lower Moselle“ holiday region in 5 stages of a day each. Apart from a boat trip, this tour also includes a visit of one of Germany‘s most beautiful and best-preserved castles – Burg Eltz.

Moselle Paddling Experience

A very special Moselle adventure. Fitness enthusiasts of all ages will find boating on the cool and clean waters of the Moselle an ideal refreshment – time for „shore leave“ included.

Per Pedes, paddle and pedal – Tour 1

From Schweich to Brauneberg. The trip begins with a hike of the Rioler vie ferrate, a forest path that is quite steep in certain places. The next day you cycle from Schweich to Piesport. On the following day, you paddle by canoe from Piesport to Brauneberg. Here you can relax for another night.

Per Pedes, paddle and pedal – Tour 2

You will reach the first stage while cycling from Bullay to Treis-Karden. In Treis-Karden you will hike on the Buxus sempervirens hiking path (16 km) and discover one of the largest distribution areas of Buxus sempervirens north of the Alps. Here and there, the hike looks like a passage through a verdant tunnel full of spicy scents. On the third day, you will paddle from Treis-Karden to Hatzenport (12 km).
