Konz

In Konz the name giving rivers Saar and Upper Moselle combine after a journey through an ever-changing cultivated landscape. The narrow Saar Valley is characterized by steep, slate hillsides, sunny vineyards and romantic sinuosities, partially left in a natural state with lively rapids and crib weirs. The Upper Moselle presents itself as open to the world. Luxembourg and France are right around the corner. The Moselle with its gently sloped hillside vineyards has dug a wide valley through the mighty shell-limestone here. Centres are the modern city Konz with the unique open air museum Roscheider Hof as well as the romantic city Saarburg whose main attraction is an impressive waterfall in the city centre.
