8. Kirchspiels Strooßefest
The highlight of the year 2019 will be the 8th Strooßefest parish festival on Kleinich's calendar of events. For the celebration taking place in the cycle of 3 years the associations of the parish will spare again no troubles and costs in order to fulfill the meanwhile high requirements of the numerous visitors.
The special flair of the lovingly decorated stands in the local street and the special culinary offers have led to the fact that the parish Strooßefest has become known far beyond the borders of the community.
In the Evangelist church on Saturday afternoon at 16:30 clock the singing ensemble will introduce "Tapas Variadas" with musical goodies as snacks of Blues, jazz, Soul and Swing the holidays. At 6 p.m. the mixed choir of the singing club will perform and accompany the opening of the festival. On Saturday evening, the original Dutch street band "Larry Cook Brass Band" will provide the atmosphere on the "Gass".
The programme on Sunday begins at 10 a.m. at Brunnenplatz in front of the Gemeindehaus with a divine service that is integrated into the WindWood & Co. singing duo. While afterwards some of the guests will go on to the morning pint with the "4-Farben Trio", the others will take care of the physical well-being and line up for the "homemade" filled potato dumplings and other typical dishes from the regional cuisine. In the afternoon the "Larry Cook Brass Band" entertains the guests with atmospheric street music. Due to the good resonance in the past years the Alex Schmeisser will present a cheerful program for big and small people to join in and laugh with at 3 pm. The programme will be rounded off with a dance performance by the gymnastics group. For the big and small appetite not only typical regional dishes (grilled cakes, delicacies from the "Dämpkolonn", jacket potatoes with herring tip / herb curd etc.) are offered, but also grilled chicken, hamburgers, cheese specialities and coffee with homemade cake.
