Tel. (0049)6531/3000

During the culinary hike, an aperitif, starter, main course and dessert are offered over a distance of almost 15 kilometres.
The hike leads from Bernkastel-Kues down the Moselle towards Zeltingen-Rachtig and Ürzig and now and then passes the Moselle path. In addition to the culinary delights, the ambience is also decisive on this hike. Enjoyable hiking in the middle of the Moselle wine culture landscape makes the connoisseur's heart beat faster.

From the Wine Estate WWE. Dr. H. Thanisch, Erben, the route leads along gardens and the Moselle to Bernkastel-Wehlen. There in the "Moselhotel Sonnenuhr" the starter is served. We continue over the suspension bridge to the vineyard "Wehlener Sonnenuhr". Here at the top of the path we encounter measures taken by the Service Centre Ländlicher Raum (DLR) as part of the "Living Moselle Vineyards" initiative. The "Zuweg" from the Moselsteig leads us to the "Moselsteig" itself. It runs along the edge of the valley to Zeltingen-Rachtig and offers great views of, among other things, the barrage there. Through the variety garden we descend to the wine village Zeltingen-Rachtig.
The main course is served at the Hotel Zeltinger Hof.
We cross the Moselle again and walk past Machern Monastery into the vineyards. We pass the bridge of the "Hochmoselübergang" and the "Ürziger Geologiegarten". At Ürzig lies the only Moselle mountain marked by a tectonic rift valley and a volcanic glow cloud. In Ürzig, dessert is served at the "Hotel Zehnthof". The culinary hike ends with the transfer back to Bernkastel-Kues.
