The Mosel Music Festival
Top-class artists and ensembles in specially selected and exceptional venues. The concept of the Mosel Music Festival is based on these two pillars – combined with wines from the region. In one of Europe’s most beautiful wine cultural landscapes, visitors can enjoy unforgettable hours of star-studded music. The music ranges from classical music and ancient music, to baroque and flamenco, through Latin, jazz and modern music. Symphonic oratorios take turns with matinees and soirees and instrumental and vocal groups with soloists on the piano or the clavichord. The imposing backdrop turns it into a real experience: the Electoral Palace in Trier, the baroque hall of Kloster Machern in Bernkastel-Wehlen, the ruins of the Stuben monastery in Bremm and one-time industrial monuments such as the Saarburg bell foundry. From Perl and Schengen in Luxembourg all the way to Coblenz, 20 venues are strung together with almost twice as many stages. These include the Brauweiler Kulturhof in Mesenich, the Capuchin monastery in Cochem, the birthplace of Cusanusin Bernkastel-Kues, the Schloss Veldenz (castle ruin) as well as churches, halls, wineries and hotels.
