Katholische Pfarrkirche St. Petrus

Kath. Kirche St. Peter

54470 Lieser

The parish church built on a rock towers the roofs of Lieser holiday village on the Moselle. Presumably, the present parish church was built in 1782. The bell tower burned down in a fire in 1860. Even the bells melted and 40 houses were destroyed. The high altar (mid-16th century), the 1624 altar of St John, the 1651 altar of Mary and the 1891 Voltmann organ are counted among the major works of art of St Peter parish church. Source:
