Streets of the Romans
The Roman Antiquity comes alive here: on the “Streets of the Romans”, the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage in Trier and approximately 80 other ancient sights on the Moselle and Saar, in the Hunsrück and Eifel regions, in the Saarland, in Luxembourg and Belgium become an archaeological park of a special kind.
Once upon a time, all of the sights lay on the ancient Roman streets, which led out of Rome to all parts of the Empire. A journey through this thousands-of-years old cultural region is both, exciting and informative. Along the former lines of approach, which were so sturdily built that they are still today preserved in parts, countless buildings link together: forts and places of worship, temple areas and baths, villas and wine presses.
Plan your own Roman route – as a sightseeing trip by car or as a cycling or hiking tour.
