The latest information on the coronavirus
Good news from the Mosel: our tourism businesses have reopened and our hosts are looking forward to receiving new guests.
Please notice that the state government of Rhineland-Palatinate has made a quarantine obligation for all travelers from risk areas in Germany and abroad. This regulation will come into force on June 26th. This means that all persons "who are obliged to enter Rhineland-Palatinate from a risk region in Germany must immediately enter a 14-day quarantine after entering the country. The quarantine obligation does not apply to people in transit. It can also be waived if people from a high-risk area can present a medical certificate that confirms, after a corona test, that there is no evidence of infection. The test must have been carried out at most 48 hours before entry." (see press release of the Rhineland-Palatinate government dated June 25, 2020).
The national and regional regulations on social distancing continue to apply, however (info available at www.corona.rlp.de).
Groups of up to ten people can gather in public, without having to be from the same household. Groups of more than ten can also gather, provided that they come from no more than two households. Please keep at least 1.5 m away from other persons and observe the regulations and obligations regarding wearing face masks.
All tourism businesses must meet hygiene and protection requirements and must have introduced extensive measures to allow you to have a safe stay. We ask all our guests to comply with these requirements so that travelling remains possible for all of us.
Hotels, guesthouses, private boarding houses, holiday apartments and youth hostels are now open again. The regulations regarding hygiene, social distancing and safety apply. Our businesses have made extensive preparations to allow you to have a safe stay. Please ensure that you observe the requirement to make reservations in advance and register when you arrive.
Campsites, motorhome sites and caravan sites can now be used again. The regulations regarding hygiene, social distancing and safety apply here, and you must make reservations in advance and register when you arrive.
Catering establishments, restaurants, pubs, cafés and bars have reopened both their indoor and outdoor areas. The opening times are limited to midnight, in additional to the usual restrictions. Reservations no longer need to be made, but the contact details of guests still need to be logged. The regulations regarding hygiene, social distancing and safety continue to apply.
Our popular wine festivals, street festivals and folk festivals will unfortunately not be taking place this year. All large events have also been cancelled. If you have already booked tickets, please contact the event organiser directly.
Museums, attractions and country houses
Museums, attractions and country houses have reopened, or will be reopening shortly. Please research opening times and any restrictions resulting from hygiene protection measures individually.
Shops and other shopping facilities
Shops and other shopping facilities are now open, subject to hygiene and safety measures. Please observe the rules regarding the wearing of face masks.
